Sarah Palin: She’s Had Enough

Well it looks like the left-wing media accomplished what it set out to do, chase Alaska Governor Sarah Palin out of politics.

Palin, who was the Republican nominee for Vice-President of the U.S. last year has announced that on July 26 of this year (in just 22 more days Tina Fey and David Letterman-if you’re keeping track) will be returning to private life and out of the public eye, though the later is highly unlikely.

Palin’s sudden decision to resign should come as no surprise to anybody, I mean after all, she has been a walking headline and the butt of late night talk show jokes since Senator McCain stuck her on his ballot for U.S. President.  Since the U.S. presidential election, the left-wing and its sympathizers have attacked and attacked and attacked the woman many political pundits consider to be the best looking woman in American politics.

I have to wonder how she managed to stay in politics for another 8 months after the Republicans lost their bid for the Whitehouse for a third straight term, but she did, and by her being able to do that, it shows she has nerves of steel.

Anyway, the born and bread Wasillan is packing it in for fishing, snowmobiling (snow-machine riding as she would say), raising her grandchild, her down-syndrome child, and telling her story in a book. I wish her well in getting back to normal life.

As for those who conspired to chase Palin out of politics and tirelessly racked her through the coals and dragged her through the mud, well you know what they say about Karma.

One other thing, in Palin’s press conference to announce that she was stepping down as Alaska’s governor she said, “I look forward to helping others — to fight for our state and our country, and campaign for those who believe in smaller government, free enterprise, strong national security, support for our troops, and energy independence.”

Hmm, going by those words I wouldn’t exactly say she is quitting politics all together would, would you?

I don’t think anybody can deny that since Gov. Sarah Palin was announced as John McCain’s running mate in last years presidential election, the left-wing media has viciously assaulted Ms. Palin daily, and that their efforts were condoned by the Democratic Party who as far as I’m concerned, was afraid of what Palin could do to them in the next U.S. presidential election. Call me crazy, but I think the Democrats under President Obama, have gone out of their way to ensure that the biggest perceived threat to them, Palin, won’t be around in 2012.

It will be interesting to see how the left-wing media, and Democratic lawmakers now, treat her between now and then. I don’t think they are going to let up on her to be honest with you, but they might leave her alone. I doubt it though.

As for Palin’s reasons for stepping down, and probably out of politics forever, you can bet the negative publicity the left-wing media went out of their way to give her, played a key role.

Just so you know, I don’t think she is planning a run at the U.S. presidency in 2012, but between now and then a lot of things could happen and I could be proven wrong about that too. We’ll see what happens.
